Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Candidates must possess an MBBS degree from an institution recognized by the Indian Medical Council.
- Additionally, they should have a valid registration certificate from the Indian Medical Council or any State Medical Council of India after completing one year of compulsory rotatory internship.
- Higher qualifications, if any, will be given due preference.
Age Limit
- General candidates should not exceed 53 years of age as of June 1, 2024. Age relaxation is available for SC/ST candidates (5 years) and OBC candidates (3 years).
- Retired railway doctors and retired government medical doctors from the state or central government, up to 65 years of age as of June 1, 2024, are also eligible.
Remuneration:
- Monthly remuneration includes transport allowance for full-time GDMO.
- For retired railway doctors and retired government medical doctors, the monthly remuneration, as determined by the Railway Board, will ensure that the pension plus contractual remuneration does not exceed the last pay drawn at retirement. No dearness or other allowances are admissible.
East Coast Railway Required Documents
Candidates should bring the original certificates and self-attested photocopies of:
- Date of Birth
- Educational Qualifications
- Community Certificates
- Two recent passport-sized photographs
- Retired doctors must also bring their original Pension Payment Order (PPO), Service Certificate, and LPC along with attested photocopies.
