Eligibility Criteria:
Essential Qualification & Experience:
- Ex-servicemen, JCO in Army, or personnel from other Paramilitary Forces with a minimum of five years of experience in security-related work.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Hindi and English (verbal & written communication).
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Familiarity with modern firefighting and security monitoring systems.
Age Limit (as of 03-03-2025):
- Maximum Age: 28 years
- Age relaxation as per Government of India rules.
Job Responsibilities:
The CSIR CMC Security Assistant will be responsible for:
- Ensuring the safety and security of CSIR Madras Complex premises, guest houses, and establishments.
- Handling intelligence, vigilance, fire-fighting, and safety measures.
- Supervising security personnel (regular and outsourced staff).
- Liaisoning with local police & authorities.
- Regulating movement of people and goods within the campus.
- Maintaining security records and assisting in security audits.
- Any other duties assigned by the Competent Authority.
Selection Process:
The selection process consists of two stages:
Stage 1: Skill/Physical and Personality Assessment Test

- Minimum Qualifying Marks: 30% (subject to decision by Selection Committee)
