About the Recruitment
The Department of Food and Supplies, Government of West Bengal, is seeking talented individuals to join the Central Sector Scheme SMART-PDS (Scheme for Modernization and Reforms through Technology in Public Distribution System). Following the cancellation of a previous notice, the department has announced new openings for six project-based contractual positions.
These roles are designed to support the modernization of the public distribution system and are available for an initial contract period of 12 months, with the potential for renewal based on performance.
Available Vacancy:
1. Project Manager (SMART-PDS)
- Educational Qualifications: 1st Class B.E/B.Tech, M.Sc./M.Tech in IT/Computer Science or MCA with MBA/PGDM from a recognized institute.
- Work Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in managing complex IT-related projects.
2. Data Analyst (SMART-PDS)
- Educational Qualifications: 1st Class B.E/B.Tech, M.Sc./M.Tech in IT/Computer Science or MCA.
- Work Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in MS SQL Server Administration, including performance tuning, optimization, and high availability and disaster recovery options. Experience with Windows Server is also required.
3. Developer (SMART-PDS)
- Educational Qualifications: 1st Class B.E/B.Tech, M.Sc./M.Tech in IT/Computer Science or MCA.
- Work Experience: Minimum of 4 years in software design, development, documentation, and implementation support.
4. IT Support Personnel (SMART-PDS)
- Educational Qualifications: 1st Class B.E/B.Tech, M.Sc./M.Tech in IT/Computer Science or MCA.
- Work Experience: Minimum of 1 year in software design, development, and support.
Selection Procedure
Candidates will be evaluated based on a combination of academic qualifications, work experience, and performance in a written cum coding test and a personal interview. The selection process includes:
- Academic Qualifications and Experience Weightage: 50 marks
- Written Cum Coding Test: 90 marks
- Personal Interview: 10 marks
