SSC CHSL Recruitment 2024 Eligibility Criteria: |
All prospective applicants aiming for SSC CHSL 2024 must adhere strictly to the eligibility criteria set forth by the SSC Commission. It is imperative for candidates to thoroughly review the stipulations concerning educational qualifications, age limits, and physical standards, among others, and ensure they meet all requirements before proceeding with their applications.
Nationality:
To be eligible for the SSC CHSL 2024 examination, a candidate must meet one of the following criteria:
Be a citizen of India
Be a subject of Nepal
Be a subject of Bhutan
Be a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam intending to permanently settle in India.
Educational Qualification:
The educational qualifications required for SSC CHSL 2024 vary depending on the specific post the candidate is applying for. The qualifications according to the vacancy applied for are outlined as follows:
(A) For all posts, the minimum requirement is a pass certificate in Class 12th from a recognized board or university.
(B) For the position of Data Entry Operator (DEO) in the office of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG), applicants must have studied science and mathematics as their main subjects in Class 12th.
Note: Candidates who are currently in their 12th standard can also apply, provided they furnish proof of educational qualification and documentary evidence from the board/university as of January 1st, 2024.
Age Limit:
Candidates applying for SSC CHSL 2024 must fall within the age bracket of 18 to 27 years. Additionally, there are provisions for age relaxation as per government guidelines, which are detailed in the table provided in the notification.
SSC CHSL Recruitment 2024 Selection Procedure: |
- The SSC CHSL 2024 Selection Process comprises three tiers: Tier 1, Tier 2, and Skill Test/Computer Proficiency Test (for certain posts).
- The final result is determined by the combined performance in both Tier 1 and Tier 2.
- Candidates must successfully clear each tier to progress to the next one.
- The final selection list is compiled by shortlisting candidates based on their overall performance in the initial two tiers.
- Upon qualifying all three tiers, candidates undergo Document Verification.
- Subsequently, candidates are allocated to various departments for positions such as Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistants, Data Entry Operators, Lower Divisional Clerks, and Court Clerks based on their merit and preference for the post.
