Eligibility Criteria
Candidates residing in the following areas within the geographical jurisdiction of Southern Railway are eligible to apply:
- Tamil Nadu
- Puducherry
- Kerala
- Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep Islands
- SPSR Nellore and Chittoor districts in Andhra Pradesh
- Dakshina Kannada district in Karnataka
Age and Qualification Requirements
Age Limit:
- Minimum: 15 years
- Maximum: 22 years for Freshers, 24 years for Ex-ITI and MLT
- Age relaxation: 3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC/ST, and 10 years for PwBD candidates
Academic/Technical Qualifications:
- Fitter and Welder (Gas & Electric): Passed 10th Class with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks under the 10+2 system of education.
- Medical Laboratory Technicians: Passed 12th Class examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.

- Candidates must register and obtain a registration number from the Regional Directorate of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Guindy/Chennai (website: Apprenticeship India).
- There is no guarantee of employment after the completion of the apprenticeship training.
